Bespoke, always These are starting points, not a menu — every build is designed around your space and the life it's made for.

Customising your build

It's all customisable

Every build is made to order — size, scene, plants, animals and automation are all yours to choose. Here are the three big decisions people start with. Tap any to explore.

01 · Water

Water, or no water?

A flowing water feature, or no water feature.

Not sure? Tell us what you'd love to keep — plants, fish, frogs or all three — and we'll guide every choice.

Why bespoke, not a kit

A habitat, not a houseplant

Every vivarium begins with what should live in it — the airflow, moisture, planting and light a thriving habitat needs. Then we build the world around it, engineered with smart automation so it holds its balance with minimal effort. Here's the difference.

Risk-free

The CCS Living Guarantee

Included with every Vivarium and Paludarium build. We don't build it and walk away — your habitat is backed until it settles within the first 30 days.

The CCS Living Guarantee takes effect on a signed build agreement and applies under our terms & conditions.

How it works

Three steps. We do the heavy lifting.

01

Message us

Send your space and a photo on WhatsApp. We reply within a day — that's your part, about two minutes.

02

We design & quote

We compose your vivarium and send one clear, honest price to approve. No surprises, no guesswork.

03

We build & keep it alive

We handle the full build, hand it over thriving, and keep it stable with the CCS Living Guarantee.

Considered, never rushed We take on only a handful of builds each month, and give each the design it deserves.

Good to know

Questions, answered

What is a vivarium?+

A vivarium is an enclosed living habitat for plants — and often small animals — that recreates a slice of nature behind glass. A CCS vivarium is a fully automated 'living ecosystem capsule': controlled misting, lighting and ventilation keep a rainforest of moss, ferns and tropical plants thriving on its own, built to fit your space like bespoke furniture.

What is a paludarium?+

A paludarium combines land and water in one living system — part aquarium, part vivarium. A water section below (a stream, pool or waterfall) meets a planted landscape above, so fish or shrimp swim beneath lush greenery, sometimes with frogs or crabs at the water's edge. It's the most dynamic of living displays — and a CCS speciality.

What's the difference between a terrarium, vivarium and paludarium?+

A terrarium is a planted land scene in glass. A vivarium is a living habitat built for animals, with automated misting and ventilation. A paludarium combines land and water — a planted shoreline with a live stream or pool. We build all three, bespoke.

Do you provide the animals?+

No — we design and build the habitat and teach you to care for it, so you can add your own once it's established. We're happy to advise on what suits your build.

How much does a build cost?+

Formats start from $300 (Terrarium), $1,200 (Vivarium) and $3,500 (Paludarium). Final price depends on size, automation and planting — tell us your space on WhatsApp for a clear, honest price with no obligation.

What if it doesn't establish well?+

That's what the CCS Living Guarantee is for. We return for two settling-in visits in the first 30 days, and if it doesn't settle the way it should, we put it right.

Do you maintain it after handover?+

Yes. Settling-in visits are included with every Vivarium and Paludarium build. After that, ongoing aftercare on a monthly contract keeps it thriving without the chore.

Do you build for offices, restaurants and hotels?+

Absolutely — paludariums and large vivariums make striking feature installations. We handle larger builds end-to-end, including concealed life-support and scheduled maintenance.
